RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County could soon have a new Sheriff as Lt. Chad Bianco showed a decisive advantage in the campaign to replace Sheriff Stan Sniff. Public campaign finance records filed with the Riverside County elections office reported Bianco with $244,498 ending cash balance. Meanwhile incumbent Stan Sniff reported an ending cash balance of $94,996.

Despite finishing a distant second, the reports show Sniff outspent all candidates spending almost $600,000 year to date.

“Sheriff Sniff had a disappointing showing during the primary election and now he has found himself trailing in the campaign finance department,” said Bianco spokesperson Andre Levesque. “More than 68% of the voters in the Primary Election voted for change. I would say Sniff’s campaign appears to be in crisis. Voters have already shown they have made up their mind. Now, he is trailing in campaign finances by an almost 3-1 margin. It will be difficult for him to win them back.”

Lt. Sheriff Chad Bianco came in first during the June Statewide Primary Election with 36.29% of the vote while Sniff could only manage to gain 31.59%.
