RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – – Today Riverside County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Chad Bianco released a statement supporting a proposed law, AB 1931 (Fong), that eases restrictions on concealed carry permit holders by extending permits from 2 years to 5 years.

“I support efforts to extend the terms of concealed carry permit holders from 2 years to 5 years,” said Lt. Bianco. “This legislation will save Riverside County money and strengthen 2nd Amendment rights.”

Lt. Bianco is a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights and increasing access to Concealed Carry Permits for law-abiding citizens. California law dictates that County Sheriffs have discretion over policies of issuing Concealed Carry Permits thus permitting processes vary from County to County and Sheriff to Sheriff.
